Forgetfulness

My love, how could I ever forget that day?

How could our memories fall from my mind?

Dates, words, times, facts-all gone

No trace have they left behind

When did my brain become so feeble?

When did my mind lose track of what we so proudly made?

I hate myself for this feebleness

I’m so sorry I let that moment fade
