Forgetting Yesterday

Awake at early morning Tiptoeing down the stairs Past the pictures wrapped in frames And gliding toward cold air Nightgown on and slippers gone I race toward the door The sun is rising! The sun is rising! Yesterday will be no more! Chasing moons and starlit skies I race onward to the end My horizon is now filled with light It's time to move on again
