Forgive & Forget

I remember the day we met,

So excited and young

That day it was cold and we sat under a blanket

We finally felt like we belonged

And that whole year we stayed close

But the following year we tore apart

You went down a different road,

A separate course

You left me thinking

It was my fault and it broke my heart

But it was you who left and I’ve learned to forgive and forget.
