Forgive Me

Forgive me if I seem a little shaky,

You see, I am losing my grip.

All I need to survive is hope,

But even that is starting to slip.

Forgive me if my smile falters,

You see, my face is growing weak.

All I need to survive is hope,

But all I’m finding is chaos in the resolutions that I seek.

Forgive me if I seem a little dazed,

You see, I am struggling to maintain.

All I need to survive is hope,

But all good deeds are done in vain.

Forgive me if I seem as if I’m lacking sleep,

You see, I cannot find the peace to dream.

All I need to survive is hope,

But these rainy days are exactly what they seem.

Forgive me if I seem like I’m drowning,

You see, I am struggling against the waves to swim.

All I need to survive is hope,

But the light at the end of the tunnel is looking a little dim.
