Forgive Me

To Darling Rebecca,

Forgive me, forgive me for the wrongs I have done,

Forgive me for the blood that has been shed

And the woman I’ve taken to bed.

Forgive me for for the bullets that shot from my gun

And when the day comes I drop dead.

Forgive my heart for the war that I have not won.

Maybe one day I’ll meet our son.

  • Sincerely, Stan
