Forgive You, Can I?

I can't forgive you.

My walls built up,

Protected me.

I was once a flower,

Growing in the spring.

Now, I'm withering,

Dying in the summer sun.

I can't forgive you.

You pulled me out of my shell.

You were my shoulder to cry on.

Then,

One day you were gone.

Abandoned and alone,

I receded back into my shell.

I can't forgive you.

I was made stronger,

I'm not so naive anymore.

I'm not so trusting now.

But now,

I surround myself with people.

People that actually care.

All because of what you did.

I guess for that,

I can forgive you.
