Forgiveness

Two bloodied, broken hands reaching out towards me. Where is the one who did this to this man? His eyes, full of love, look straight back at me. I look down, in my hand is a whip, used to lash his perfect back. On my side hangs a hammer used to nail his hands to the course boards. Tears fill my eyes, how could I have done this? I am not a monster. Those eyes continue to gaze upon me with love. All the things I ever have done come back to mind. I cannot stand up under the pain of all that I have done. He looks to me and says "I forgive you. You are mine. Follow me my love."
