forgiveness

tousled hair

and droopy eyes

a look that screams

i don't care

you have been knocking her door

since a quarter past 3

but she doesn't want to look

in your pleading eyes

that show her right into your soul

she is not ready to forgive

for all the pain

you have caused her to endure

and the wildfire of problems

that you've started

she is not ready to see past

to forget that it had happened

she is not ready to forgive.
