The battles we fight In the midst of our minds We take them to our graves Hoping now they will part But for what's it worth I know this now Hurting you hurts me too Help me stop .... I don't know how I am shattered and I am suffering I remember the night of rejection When you walked me out My heart shattered to pieces And you walked right through it To ease the pain I tried to mentain A distance that could Keep me physically apart But little I knew My heart didn't follow So I did and said Played the blame game I took it too far I left deep scars But from what I see My heart too bleeds They say love is natural Like a river it flows But I find it difficult To fall this low
