Forgiving Words

Poems tend to be more forgiving than minds,

For words allow us to be understood,

To express ourselves thoroughly.

Poems give us the ability to tell our story entirely,

Without anyone to interrupt,

to judge us,

to laugh at us.

Poems are catharsis for me, as for many others.
