Forgiving Words

I like to keep the kind words

No matter who they're from

I keep them tucked away

Even if they run

I never hold the foul words

I wish remained un said

I delete them from my stores

Banished from my head

And even if you meant them

In the deepest of your soul

I'll never hold a grude

Nor have ill words to scold

I find it easy to forgive

After all, we have only one life to live
