Forgotten
They painted me
With their smooth hands,
Pink
Silver
Gold
Green
Purple
Blue
An endless parade of colors
At first,
The paint around my eyes
Cracked,
And my eyes opened.
A drop of salty water peeked out,
Floating side to side around my water line.
My sore eyes scoured around,
Frantically
Watching them
Squish
And mold
Paint on my face,
With their smooth hands.
My jaw trembled to speak
My lips struggled to separate
But my voice was shut tight
Under the paint.
