Forgotten Bliss

The calming sound of silence

Brushing through the empty land.

Open blue skies shining joyful songs

Down on the faces of few.

The unpolluted, calm air

Causing an adrenaline rush.

Neighbors to lean on when

Life’s trials take over hearts.

Genuine, smiling faces willing to give up

Their time to hold out a gentle hand.

Calloused hands representing

The unforgiving work done by all.

Streams of water chasing one another,

Oblivious to the chaos surrounding it.

Trees whistling in the wind,

Carrying a sweet song to ears.

Communication not lying in voices,

But in nature’s sounds and bright eyes.

Wyoming.
