forgotten brother

I’ve had 13 years. They coulda been better. Coulda been worse. Had 13 years for words to be rehearsed. But instead I chose the other choice-and for it I would never rejoice. But I imagined I was the only one. I was the only one beneath the sun that went through that pain. I imagined I had nothing to gain. But now I remember our hurt is the same. I remember getting older, looking up at the stars thinking maybe-my brothers aren’t really that far, maybe they too are looking up right now, maybe its possible we’re connected somehow. But then I shook the feeling away-and embraced the thought that kept me sane. And the thought was that I had no brothers, no sibling at all.it was simply me. I threw away the memories. But they never really left me at all, and now out they call. Fighting for their rightful place inside me.and now I see cause im thinking this time ill let them stay, in my heart they will lay-I believe now hopefully, I can begin, to realize we are family once again.
