Forgotten Love
I trusted you with everything
You consumed my heart and soul
I felt that if I did not have you
I’d be left here bitter and cold
I turned to you for every problem,
Insecurity and fear
Now I have a new love, and see
That you were never truly here
So tonight I will cry for you
And my heart will slowly break
But tomorrow is another day
And in God I’ll put my faith
So as for you, we’re done and over
My heart is His above
Now I’ll only remember you
As my lost and forgotten love
