Forgotten Love Song 6/16/16

He played me so well. He heard my song and sang along and was even mesmerized with my lyrics. I was his favorite tune; stayed upon his lips. My music played on and on in his head. He laid with me and played me all day. His fingers stroked and keyed me score by score. For him I orchestrated highs and lows. But he heard a tune with a foreign beat that snatched his interest away from me... The kind of beat that vibrated intensely yet with no rhyme or reason. He became captivated with ones and twos, abusive lyrics and revamped tunes. I became his blues. A soon forgotten melody. He played me oh so well. Then my melody became a memory. Like music gives healing to a wounded soul and once the task is done, it's to be played again by another someone Next time, I will write the notes on the sheet and I conduct who is playing me.
