ForNEVER Alone

If I were stuck on a lonely island

Just me and one solitary thing

Be it dry desert or lush highland

I know what I would bring

Not wealth nor health nor wisdom

There is something I treasure more

Although it might sound naive to some

Hear me out, I do implore

My one necessary item

Or really, more of an idea

Is a contentment I can abide in

And something you can only feel

If I were given my heart’s one desire

I would not be alone

Family and friends it would require

My isolate heart, they would atone

My luggage en route with me

Full of just one single thing

It is not something one can see

Because it is LOVE that I would bring

The love of my dear sweet family

The love of my kind, silly friends

The love of my Creator, within me

All of these which will not end

You see, for my survival

I do not need physical things

I need only the fact, undeniable

They are with me in more than my dreams
