Forsaken

Feel lost as words tempt you in a brighter way Sure you'll cry about it later but you live for today Pain is known of course, so you torch the past and future The present is your mistress because she gives you what you're used to Awake you lie, contemplating loves that you're to young to endeavor Eyes are your only language because they convey your thoughts better You represent a dying breed of youth adapted to hate The ones who live to defy rules that are in place for your sake you've been hated and confused, mistreated and abused Yet your most powerful enemy is the one within you The one who eats you at you're core as they tempt you to do wrong
