Forsaken

Too much
Too soon
I didn't mean to say those things to you
Please believe me when I say I love you
instead of pulling away

What happened to those innocent days
When we were children who always played
Now you're considering leaving
Leaving me
For that monster
That took us away from happiness
Who took away our naivety

Now you brandish that hated sword
How could you turn against me
Sanding at the edge of the dark
Please tell me you won't leave

I was hurt...
   you were too
When I was pushed down
   you fell too
Can't you see that this is not right
Falling into that feared night

Now you brandish that hated sword
How could you turn against me
Standing at the edge of the dark
Please tell me you won't leave

He broke my heart
   He will break yours too
He tried to drag me into the dark
Please don't let him do that to you
He made me feel like I was nothing
   Please hold onto hope
Know that I love you
