Fortitude

I sit in warmth,

but it's sad I have to beg for your eyes.

But, the warm pages that watch me do not judge my fortitude.

I never have to beg for attention because with them it only takes one easy turn to look

upon a new aspect ahead with my finger tips.

The smell of the old pages as your cover falls still show beauty in my eyes.

You're still the same story, that's hard to repeat, but still the same ending.
