Fortius quo Fidelius

Your eyes smile though your face remains still

like sunbeams glittering upon a glass pond;

we have taken the slow road, you and I

From strangers to friends to beyond.

Pine ignites brilliantly while hickory smokes

but in the end, which is sought after?

Quality demands dedication and time

in study and speaking and laughter.

Love first and foremost the LORD of your heart

HE will never lead you astray:

When you put precious things in HIS

holy hands, they will never be mislaid.

Respect is also atop the short list.

Observe their glories and their tempests.

How they act in their heights and their depths:

upon this you can base respect's premise.

Trust and openess go hand in hand

and are earned through the time as friends:

no romantic obligations, casual conversations.

Without honesty, a relationship ends.

Why all the hurry? What is the rush?

After all, Juliet died with a rash kiss.

Agape, philia, ludos, to pragma.

Naught is more sound than this.

In summation, falling is easy and standing is hard

And if you let me, I'll stand till my dying day

Because I love you, my imperfect friend,

we will protect and guide eachother's way.
