Stuck. An ugly word. An even more unpleasant feeling.

Stuck. A word I’d rather not find myself saying to describe where I find myself being:

Physically, Emotionally, Mentally.

Stuck. A word too often heard by others I know, others I feel close to.

Others who feel… Stuck.

Growing up, I did not like change.

Transitions were hard, and “Stuck” was not yet a concept that I had heard of.

But I understand it now.

And I refuse to be Stuck.

If I had to proclaim a motto to live my life by, it would be “Keep Moving Forward.”

The pace varies and the weight wavers, but as long as I am moving, then I am not Stuck.

Now I embrace change, though at times uncomfortable.

I value rejection, though success is easily more desirable.

And in any situation, it is the committed attitude of forward momentum that enables survival and eventually thriving.

Being stranded on an island is the equivalent of “stuck”.

But if my mental capacities also were to become so, then all hope would be lost.

The mind powers the body.

A driven mind, no matter how slow or fast the drive, is one thing that I cannot live without.

Because to be stuck is not living.

It is merely existing.
