Found

I was drowning

Couldn’t find my way out

So apathetic

No energy to shout

Boxed in by my feelings

I didn’t understand

How I could be so useless

It's how I felt but the truth is

There was a way

Suddenly something felt right

As I began to write

I could see the light

Climbing out of this hole

I had dug in the ground

For so long I was lost

But this was being found

I could write away problems

Verse after verse

And while it can’t solve all of them

Without poetry it’s all so much worse
