Found in Blue

This road runs along and all across this long, resplendent island. I’m crossing this road to get to a sanctuary: a peachy beach. Sunrays kiss and cover our bodies, like today is for our own. I stand and stare at how the rolling azure waves in the crystal ocean flow. Our gazes meet and our souls sing as we race to the rushing water. I gasp and grin as the ocean welcomes me with open arms. For now, at least, everything is alright in the world. Although dusk has arrived, the waves still crash, the seagulls still call, and we still laugh. The gentle breeze embraces our faces, leaving lines of salt in their wake. Though the shade grows stronger, and the sun hides under the horizon, being with friends in the twilight is like a new awakening. This path brought me to a happier place. There’s no sorrow in a blue like that.
