Found My Strength Through You.
You left a few years go
taking a pillar out of my temple,
making it crash down so easily.
It hurt so bad knowing I don’t have you anymore.
You left so suddenly
leaving so much behind.
You took everything, left only memories,
memories that have killed me little by little each day.
Porque te fuiste así, dejando todo. (why did you leave, leaving everything behind)
I’ve never felt a pain like the one I felt that day,
knowing that you’re gone, just hoping to see you.
Just don’t forget me, you’ll always be with me.
In my heart there will always be a place for you
Prometo no olvidarme de ti. (I promise to not forget about you)
How could I?
You were the best while I had you here.
Without saying a word, just you sitting next to me
would make everything better again.
When I don’t know what to do, feeling lonely
your memory keeps me going.
You showed me how to give life to the best part of me, to reach my goals.
Recuerdo que me decias, que perdone aunque sea difícil, (I remember you telling me, to forgive even when its hard)
que ame a los demás porque odiar no acaba con nada bueno. (to love others because hatred never ends in a good way)
You don’t know how much I need you, I miss you.
Knowing that one day I’ll see you again keeps me going.
Words don’t really go with me,
I never know what to say
but overcoming the pain of not having you here
helped me talk more, helped bring out my voice
as a singer and as a student.
You gave me the courage to show the world the little girl
that you knew about before I did.
