Foundation of Living

Our foundation of living is bound to a shaking ground
You're looking for help when no one is around
Wanting to start over, but nothing seems right
When love start to fade and day turns to night

Bricks on bricks with cement in between
A hardened exterior that was built for a queen
You huff and you puff to blow her walls down
But the only way you'll win is to give her your crown

Compromise is the word that you need to make this right
Her heart is aching remembering her love at first sight
But with the air heavy with words unsaid and no moves left
You say goodbye leaving her with nothing but your theft.
