Fountain of Eve

Summer’s end has reached once again.
The wind takes hold and guides the leaves.
The trees play a little symphony
On the cold windy nights.

The morning springs with the shadowy sun
And the fog rolls in with every last breath.
And once again the wind takes hold,
But the fountain of Eve still glistens in gold.

With  leaves and wind that fall within
That precious fountain of Eve,
For every leaf holds a single story
That drops in the water of hope.

And the fountain of Eve
Still glistens in gold
And portrays the stories
Of those once told.
