The Four Seasons

My love for you still grows

For it never seized to leave me

My heart and my soul

I have saved for you solely

Every time I saw your face

I loved to see you smile

To see I made you happy

And that we were alone even for a short while

Together we enjoyed our presence

And alone we seized to be

Together love was in our essence

And I had you all for me

Unfortunately for us the summer had to end

And I am left without you, my heart without a mend

The few times I do see you I want to hold you once again

To relive those summer days that God gracefully would lend

The season has now changed, and we are in the fall

And am happy to have received that long awaited call

You wouldn’t admit it to yourself

But you admitted it to me

That throughout the whole summer

You wanted us to be

As the days progressed and took the fall away

You never left my side for you were here to stay

Small cotton balls now fall onto the white ground

And I still cherish and keep the love that in you I found

Although the weather is cold and those sunny days go amiss

You made up for all of them with that mistletoe kiss

The skies once again have changed

And my love for you as well

It is no longer so simple

It is a love that never wears

The days continue moving forward

And once again we are a part

Of that heated summer

That united us from the start

We now sit among the lilies and the daisies growing on the land

And you save my special roses hidden in your hand.

I hold my roses close and sit completely still

As I hear you tell me that you are completely at my will

You kneel in front of me and your love to me you confess

I have no other answer left in me but an undeniable yes.
