Four Years

Four years left.

I tell myself every morning,

With time to learn

and time to grow.

Swimming, track, music,

There seemed like there was time for it all.

Growing up

could wait

for

later.

Three years left.

Is still greater than two.

Over 1000 days to accomplish anything I could possibly want.

To learn to cook

To learn Chinese

To learn to live.

Good things come to those who wait

I tell myself.

Two years left.

Caught up with work

Applying to colleges

Searching for a passion.

As night time grows

There's still time

To know.

One year left.

Is still plenty of time.

To do everything I wanted to do

In high school.

Is what I say to myself

The day before graduation.

Some things can't wait.
