The Fox and the Hound

Once upon a time
there was a fox and a hound
although different in ways
their friendship was bound
they would spend their days
in a field, running around
until the fox was sent away
then that field had no sound
but then there was a day in may
when the fox ran homeward bound
and the hound who's feelings never went astray
heard his friend and ran till he was found
in that field is where their hearts will stay
because nothing could separate the fox and the hound
