Fractured and Broken

I let myself be shaped by others

Molded by scorn, hate, and sadness

I wanted to be like everyone else

I wanted people to like me

I wanted them to care

But I was a cast-out, a reject

I stood out like a sheep amongst wolves

and I disappeared when I was no longer of interest

I was a soft chunk of clay

Now I am a pot, fractured and broken
