Fragile

I am only a girl,
a girl with a heart
and a soul made of glass.

A girl who walks alone,
keeping to herself.
I am just a mystery
to the world passing by.

A silent wanderer with vivid dreams,
a fantasy fanatic, quoting every word,
while watching, The Lord of the Rings.

A hopeless romantic drowning,
in a sea of self-doubt.
Yet, never losing sight,
in what tomorrow
might bring.

An optimistic skeptic,
forever mimicking the phrase,
“I want to believe.”

A lost artist with a pen,
aspiring one day to become
something more than
just that writer next door.

I am a girl,
with nothing left to lose,
and I am ready to face the world.
