Fragments

White
Soft
Stuffed
Blue eyes mirror my own
My guard through the night
Puppy

Brown
Long raven hair lays with blond
Smile so wide it crinkles merry eyes
Two matching speed demons
Up to no good
Striking eyes, a pair to match each sister
The gang

Red
Cracked chin, forehead, shin, toes
Pain
Taste of salt and metal
Abandonment
Lightning obliterates every thought, can't hear my scream
Stitches

Grey
Light fades
Something howls, shakes the house
Parents whisper "tornado"
Nightmares years after

Green
Guiding hands
Walls fall away
Too bright
Open
Endless
Home is behind, the world ahead
For me to seize
More memories

This poem is about:
Me
My family
