Frayed Thoughts

A question laid

An answer frayed

An internal pain

Hidden in the rain

No explanation why

No reason to ever try

A friend hits hardest

Enemies speak the softest

This world is do or die

This is not the last goodbye

I may be down

     But never broken

Hiding my frown

     Behind this token

A desperate cry

     Echoes through the night

A repeated lie

     Everything will be alright

A day will come

When I’m not so dumb

I will make a change

Far out of my current range

Until that day

I will just have to lay

Another question, it’s answer frayed
