Freckles

 Freckles sprinkle
The face of the innocent child
Like April rain showers
Sprinkle the green countryside
With purple flowers
And blue birds.

She tiptoes through the house
The dark wood floor beneath
Her small toes.
Like skipping stones
In early summer at the lake

She spins
Around
And
Around
And
Around
Like a small dust storm
In the spring. Only picking up small items,
But with dreams of
Moving mountains

The child is small.
The child is innocent.
Like Freckles
