Freckles and a Jacket

Because I love you,

I spent three years counting the freckles on your nose.

Because I love you,

I wrapped a blanket around your shoulders everytime the cold rattled your bones.

Because I love you,

I cared for your broken heart when he didn't.

Because I love you,

I made sure you were always wearing your seatbelt.

Because I love you,

I supported your decisions.

Because I love you,

I called you my best friend.

Because I love you,

I miss you.
