Free
Dark, dreary, detached
Consumed by my own shell.
Mind spacing, heart racing,
As I try to release from this Hell.
The unknown approaches,
Striking fear through the light.
What am I becoming?
A monstrous sight?
As the time has lapsed,
I can finally see
What I have been dreading
Is a transformed me.
Robust, recovered, rejuvenated,
And free to fly.
I can finally see myself as
A beautiful butterfly.
