My body is stinging.

I look in the mirror to,

see myself visibly shaking.

I see a lump on my head

A handprint on my cheek

Bruises forming on my arms and legs.

I lift my shirt to see the most horrific site,

his shoe print on my stomach.

I collapse of the bathroom floor

violently shaking while i try to hold back the sobs.

This has been going on for a couple months now.

But this,

this has been the worst attack yet.

I crawl out the bathroom,

grab my phone, lock the door and hide in the closet.

What do I do?

No one knows what goes on

He only allows me to have a few friends

Not even my parents know.

Do I leave?

But he says he loves me?

I love him.

Where would I go?

Who would I call?

After sitting there wasting precious minutes, I make my decision.

I pick up the phone and call my dad and brother.

I think it’s time I break free.
