I often think about my past

thankfully it did not last

Ive been hurt

I deserved a cast

but there is no such thing for a heart

all of this led to a world fallen apart

It seems that at times of the lowest

Everyone esle seems to be at their highest

As if its a contest to leave only one depressed

My feelings didnt matter to the rest

Lucky is the man that early realizes

that no one cares

It is the care to his self that no one shares

Lucky is the man that early realizes

that the sun will set and rise

despite whether he's dead or alive

This is where my past had led me

However, this is history

Free

This is the word that describes me

Free from emotional captivity

I live life happily

in stability

Happiness comes from within my soul

Society plays no role

I often think about my future

And now that I am more mature

I know that whatever I endure

will not leave me to suffer forever

The sun will always come out

It will make my insides warmer

This I do not doubt
