Dear America,

Freedom sucks

Your idea of "Freedom"

Has families out on the streets

Stuck behind the bars of Debt

Your idea of "Freedom"

Has children within the confines

Of a jail cell that you call School

Dear America,

If you haven't noticed

Racism is still alive and well

Lurking quietly in allyways and School buildings

Crime still exist

People are still Dying

From the bullet wounds in their chest

People lying in the streets

Asking for Change

But not the Change that you would think

Not the Change in your pocket

Or the Change in your mind

But the Change of your ways

Dear America,

I want to see a day

When I don't have to walk to School

With the fear of being Mugged

Or waking up one day

To find my best friend is Gone

Or hold my brother's hand

When we walk to the park

I wish to see the day

When America can be called the

"The land of Freedom"

And finally

I can be

Free
