I became free,

free of society’s standards,

free of the way school wants me to think,

free of the way people think I should look,

but most importantly,

i became free of myself.

free of the “beauty” tips my friends had taught me,

free of the hours doing my makeup until I didn’t recognize myself,

this year,

i finally became something,

i became myself.
