Free
Ok, I know You're with me
But right now I don't know what I believe
I try but the wrong side's closing in on me
The more I fight the less I am free
I know that with a snap of Your hand
You could lead me to the Promised Land
I'm begging You, please, reach out Your Hand
Why can't I stand there, on the sand?
Then I'd believe, and know to be true
The stories I was always told of You
Not that I don't know them to be true
But it'd be nice to have another clue
I guess what it is I'm trying to say
Is I don't want to be here another day
The other thing I'm trying to say
Is if You are the Potter, am I still the clay?
Right now, I think I'm alright
But later on in the night
I hear voices, I'm not alright
I need Your help to fight
Help me to believe, please
It's not something I can do with ease
I'm begging again, oh please
For another day, one in peace
Right now I think I want to live
But in a week, I might give
When I do, help me live
In the land across that wondrous bridge
I know I believe now, but can't they see?
The pain breeding ground inside me
It's like a knife that no one can see
But right now, I believe I'm free
