Free
I am plastic
A barbie doll
Still encased
in my plastic ignorance.
I envy the older girls who are
Free,
They don’t have this
Barrier,
Separating them.
Not all the girls I see are
Free
But they see it as
Empowering
They treat the plastic casing as
Worth.
I don’t want it
It’s a burden
I try for years
But it only gets
Pulled at
Dented
Damaged
Not removed.
I’m still trapped
Behind a wall of unknowing.
I only want to take it off
At this point
It’s only hurting me.
But then,
I get the chance
I find someone to
Help me
I’m finally
Free
But
It’s not everything I
Imagined
It hurts
I miss it
Miss him
Emotionally
Physically
I’m damaged
No longer in my casing
No longer in my plastic
But still a doll
No longer ignorant
No longer wondering
But not
Free
I’m different now
Everyone can see
I’m put on
display
I just want my casing back.
I just want to hide.
But everyone knows
Now
There’s no going back
Impure
Unclean
Deflowered
No longer
A virgin.
