We all fall
We all break
Life isn’t about that
Life is how we pick ourselves up again
But not everybody can
Some people just shatter the pieces more
Scattering them around until they are so far apart, so broken
That they will never fit again
Leaving them jagged, Packed with baggage
With nothing left to salvage
Days slip by
They don’t notice the difference
Slowly they sink into a deep hole called depression
It swallows you up
Making you overthink everything
Not letting you breathe
Never letting you find peace
The darkness creeps in to your everyday
You can try and fight but it never works
Soon pain will become your friend
Death is always close to follow
Lingering in your mind
Leaving you to ask “what if”
Leaving an everlasting impression
That tinges every thought
Until it become too much
And you succumb to the numb
When you’re drowning and you finally give up
You finally give into the temptation
Into the relief that death has promised
You take your last breath
And your gone
Never to rise again
Ascending past mortality
Finally unchained of your mental agony
Where your nothing and everything at the same time
Your free
