Free, am I?

We learned when we were young

That we were free

Free from the world

Or so we thought

Our teachers never taught us

Trama

Never spoke that

Children kill themselves

Never braced us to think

That we were not free

Never said we should

Say no!

Never told us to

Be ourselves

No only that we were

Free

Until we weren't

Hear me

Hear my voice

I am free

You cannot touch me

I am a bird

You cannot fly high enough

I am women

You cannot shut me up

I am me

You cannot take away my

Freedom.
