1 Corinthians 9:7 New English Translation (NET Bible)

7 Who ever serves in the army at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat its fruit? Who tends a flock and does not consume its milk?

My candidate be prepared

I am breaking out for freedom ... running for a swamp

Nothing can stop me now ... I will be number One

I’ll be wholesome ... the leader of my wants

which sweep over the bow before the day is done

In great admiration, folk will stare at me

I will pay the price of everyone’s desire

To their frustration, there’s just one like me

not duplicated twice with my greed on fire

Self-made I’ll be ... no need for someone else

Leader of the pack of depredated seconds

I’ll set all others free so to labor for myself

as I will keep track of their jumps when I beckon
