Free To Be Me

My dear Boy........Friend?

I don't know what I did to get this rejection

I look in the mirror and analyze my reflection

No longer am I a sweet and innocent child

I look as if for days I was in the wild

Stopping to think about my life

How depressing I might as well stab myself with a knife

Bruised and hurt all over my body

Can someone help me....? Anybody...

I scream and shout to show I'm hurt

Look at me I'm covered in dirt

No not the physical dirt, but dirt of the soul

The type of dirt you threw at me now I feel like a ghoul

Ugly and miserable is how you left me

You used me for yourself; I would've preferred you hit me

I trusted you with all my heart

All you did was laugh and stab it with a dart

I hope all your cruelties catch up to you

So you can learn how it feels to be "blue"

You played with my heart my feelings my soul

I thought you were worth it but you aren't anymore

You told me you loved me but that was a lie

I wake-up each day and ask myself... Why?

Why? Oh Why? Did I believe what you said?

All those beautiful words just to get me to bed

Never again will I let you use me!

I am strong and I am free

It's over now and I am free

Finally free, Free to be........ME
