Take these chains off my wrists,

take them off my ankles.

Take this mask off my face,

take it off right now!

These chains held me back!

That mask held my face,

held my true identity.

While the chains were strong and tight,

holding back my dreams.

I need to run, be free,

to see who I consider me!

I'm tired of sitting here

in this cold room.

I'm running out of breath,

I need to move.

Show me the light.

Show me it right now!

Take off these chains,

take off my mask.

I need to be me.
