Free Fall
Every so often its nice to just let go, jump and fall into whatever it is you are holding back from to take one that one fear you’ve had for so long head on and fall. For me that one great fear was you but I jumped anyway. I never believed you’d be at the bottom waiting to catch me before but this time I just closed my eyes and took that giant leap of faith. Allowed myself to fall, ignoring everything in my way, fell hoping you’d be there to catch me. As I jumped holding my breath and squeezing my eyes knowing if you failed to do so the rock hard ground that would hit me instead would be painful but I reminded myself I was strong enough to handle it. I never thought you would really catch me but you did and it sent chills up my spine and made my heart race. With everyday we spent together your grip grew tighter and you caused me to slowly forget about the hard surface beneath us if you ever failed to hold on, given sometimes we took turns holding each other up the day I hoped you’d be strong for the both of us your grip began to weaken and you let go. I had forgotten to remind myself of the fall for so long that when I finally hit the rock hard ground, my pieces crumbled.
