free me

I am barred and trapped.

Trapped in a society that doesn't value me.

In a community that doesn't want me.

Around people who don't see me.

They cannot hear me

Ignored in my cries for freedom

My dreams deferred for a kingdom

Where I am outside of the walls, the bars

The Bell Jar.
